To be fair, Speech and U.K. Naked Men both used the same distinctive set in their separate productions, but it kinda makes you wonder how Lionel Logue paid the bills before the stammering king came along. Many more NSFW pics at the source.

Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Hans will arrive on Broadway wearing the armor of level 5 characters in what appears to be a Frozen video game. Entertainment Weekly has a first look at the musical adaptation of the film’s costumes, with Patti Murin (Anna), Caissie Levy (Elsa), Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), and John Riddle (Hans). Frozen starts its out-of-town run in Denver tonight, and will come to New York in February next year, as long as the actors don’t faint under all this fabric beforehand.
Weiner at his desk. When my taxi reached the street block in the West Village, I spotted the silvery, Mondrian-proportioned building among the brownstones that no doubt belonged to Lawrence Weiner. He recounted, “It was a little house, and for 20 years it was just fine, but then the lords of the earth started to build up, and then — no more air, no more light. This is a landmark area, which meant an awful lot of negotiating when we collapsed the house.
When you become a parent, or at least an involved parent (fuck you, mom! You were never there for me!), your life and priorities and rhythms change so dramatically that it’s almost as if your very brainwaves shift dramatically. It feels like being a parent affects you on a cellular, physical, as well as intellectual and emotional level. Perhaps that explains why, two years into beginning the magical adventure of parenthood (and though I write this on a site devoted to comedy I am not kidding, as I am hopelessly sincere in my parenting) Sesame Street is rapidly threatening to replace The Simpsons as my all-time favorite show and the show I am most influenced and obsessed with.
For the past few years, Seth Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg have been working on a raunchy animated comedy called Sausage Party, and Sony Pictures announced today that the project is moving forward. Sausage Party stars Rogen as the voice of a sausage who falls out of his shopping cart in the supermarket and goes on a quest, with his new friends, to get back to the shelf for the store’s 4th of July sale.
Ben Barnes, left, and Jeff Bridges in The Seventh Son. Why is it so hard to make a satisfying medieval fantasy adventure? We look down on movies like Seventh Son, Season of the Witch, Outcast, and any number of other films for their descent into high camp, but sometimes, one wonders if it’s the genre. With its overt appeals to such childlike (or childish, depending on your point of view) things like dragons and witches and spells, maybe it’s just hard to take this stuff at face value anymore, unless it was written by J.
Bold colors and patterns, vintage pieces, and not a matching earring set to be seen? That’s our Claudia. Claudia Kishi is a style icon. You know it. I know it. Anyone who’s read even just a handful of Ann M. Martin’s Baby-Sitters Club books knows it. In the delightful new Netflix TV adaptation of the middle-grade novels, Mary Anne Spier even says those exact words. And Mary Anne Spier wouldn’t lie.
