We could only be mad at him for so long. Continuing the time-honored tradition of desperately questioning your love started long ago by the Shirelles, Ryan Adams is here today to grovel at your feet. He’s emerged from the ashes of his Taylor Swift covers album (the one he now freely admits he should’ve kept to himself) with a new, completely original song, “Do You Still Love Me?,” all about the completely unoriginal act of begging you to take him back.
Ryan Breaux, the 18-year-old brother of Frank Ocean, died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle car accident in Thousand Oaks, California. According to Us Weekly, he and his friend Ezekiel “Zeek” Bishop, age 20, died when the car they were driving left the road and collided with a tree in the road’s center median. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. “Upon arrival, deputies discovered the vehicle engulfed in flames,” the sheriff’s office stated.
His story must be told. What came first, the Ken-ergy or the Kenjuring? Ryan Gosling, rom-com heartthrob or indie murderer — pick your poison — plays Barbie’s washboard abs, employment-challenged, himbo boyfriend in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming pepto-colored existential musical about the dolls facing reality. Mediocre television abounds, boring badness is common, interesting-but-not-quite-there stuff happens regularly, really great TV is an occasional and exciting treat.
Owner of several bad tattoos. Last month, a Ryan Reynolds fan (who has since been promoted to superfan, by us) tweeted at Reynolds, saying that if the actor liked his tweet, he’d get Reynolds’s name tattooed on his butt. Of course, Reynolds did like the tweet, so … what did he expect? Twitter user @poolspidey later tweeted Reynolds a photo of his brand new tattoo — “Ryan Reynolds” in all caps, in alternating black and red lettering.
Sabrina Carpenter. For those of you waiting in line for “Espresso” to snatch her Billboard crown, you have stay in line for another week at least. Sabrina Carpenter’s follow-up to her song about working late ’cause she’s a singer has been blocked on the charts by her own follow-up track, “Please Please Please,” notching the pop girl her very first career No. 1 on the Billboard “Hot 100.
Melissa Joan Hart and Caroline Rhea. Photo by Dean Neville/BFA. In a scandal guaranteed to shake the fictional witching world to its core, turns out that Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Salem the cat weren’t actually BFFs in real life. “I’m a dog person,” said Melissa Joan Hart last night, at a launch party at Monkey Bar for her memoir Melissa Explains It All. As she explains in the book, there were a number of live feline stand-ins on the Sabrina set in addition to the animatronic Salem.
